Abstract

By the end of the course, students will be required to present the outcomes of their team experiments. For this purpose, poster and oral presentations are convenient ways to summarize these efforts. This last chapter covers the standard guidelines that should be followed for the preparation and format of poster and oral presentations. The key elements of each such as a title, introduction, methods, results, conclusion, acknowledgments, and references section are conferred. The issues of contrast between the font color and the background, the sizes of the fonts, and the use of figures and cartoons as means to make the presentation more attractive and easier to understand are discussed. An additional educational value can be provided by including peer-to-peer evaluations.
