Abstract
In these days it can be noticed a fierce battle of the telecom operators to win the communication service market. The telecom market is currently in full development and it opens opportunities for operators, institutions or for the public, potentially consuming such services. Telecom operators are particularly well positioned to begin to capitalize on this opportunity and build a distinct position in the market for defining suitable value proposals, structuring the right technologies and “go-to-market” partnerships. Fortunately, they possess a huge volume of data that can be analyzed and used in preparing better decisions. For a more in-depth assessment, this paper proposes a detailed analysis of the “battlefield”, inlighting the context, the issues of telecom operators that support data for these services, examples of services and the potential users of them, possible solutions to the architectural and methodological implementation. All these aspects will be exemplified by using practical results.
