Abstract
A 73 year old lady is admitted from home. She was discovered at home, cool peripherally and lying on the floor. She was last seen 5 days previous. On arrival she described having fallen at home and not being able to get up ‘several days ago.’ She is clinically dehydrated. You commence IV fluids and insert a catheter. She begins to pass urine, which is red-brown in colour. You suspect rhabdomyolysis.
