Abstract

The paper presents the results of two-dimensional calculations of air flow in street canyons. The studies were conducted using the OpenFoam package with the support of the University Cluster program (http://www.unicluster.ru) and the Unihub Web Lab technology platform (https://unihub.ru). In order to determine which model of turbulence is appropriate to apply in further calculations, the results are compared with experimental data from different authors. It is shown that if the height of the house on the windward side of the street is less, then two-vortex structures air flow appear, at which the street ventilation significantly deteriorates.
