Abstract
This chapter can be divided into two parts. The first part is the literature review part. In the first part, different types of load models and load modelling methods have been reviewed and summarised. Six types of load models, including both static load models and dynamic load models, have been introduced and the model equations are given. Then two types of load modelling techniques – component based and measurement based load modelling methods have been introduced. The second part of chapter two describes the measurement based load modelling method. This part describes an automatic load model building tool (ALMT) whose development started as an undergraduate project and which was fully developed and finely tuned as a part of this research.
