Abstract
This chapter paints a picture of contemporary Ghanaian life as presented to a foreign tourist. Traditional Ghanaian practices such as weddings and funerals are vividly described. Further certain perplexing outcomes such as indiscipline in the siting and construction of houses as well as the unruly behavior of drivers on Ghana’s roads are discussed. Some of the negative observations juxtaposed against a very empathetic world view of Ghanaians that unfortunately may itself nurture corruption.
