Abstract

This research work proposes the use of the audiovisual format, specifically booktrailer, to promote reading in university students, taking as a case study the Social Communication Grade of the Technical University of Machala, Ecuador. After a literature review of the main concepts around literature, education and audiovisual, the methodology of action-research is used, with an experimental approach, in the production and editing of a video based on the work El Tunel’ by the Argentine writer Ernesto Sábato to finally carry out a study of perception and receptivity among the students.
