Abstract

Convergence processes have imposed transformation dynamics to the so-called traditional media. Through the digitalization of television, the ruling media, there has been a huge evolution that has altered its usual forms of production and consumption. In this paper, we reflect upon the new forms of participation of the audience in television fostered by these processes of convergence. Subsequently, the existing windows of participation are analysed in scarcely studied format, such as news programmes. The results of this research will allow to confirm whether these informational television spaces fit in these new forms of television.
