Abstract

Logic gates are the basic building blocks of digital hardware. The operation of basic logic gates (OR, AND and NOT gates), universal logic gates (NOR and NAND gates), AND-OR-INVERTER, XOR and XNOR gates are explained. Active High and active Low input signals are defined and illustrated with examples.
