Abstract

The chapter, principally, discusses, at great length, the two most important eating disorders of the millennium anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, the former emanating from a fear of eating unfamiliar foods, leading to self-imposed starvation, and the latter to “binge eating.” A historical perspective of these diseases is also discussed. The chapter would also discuss how to tackle these eating disorders, with the least negative mental impact on the patients.
