Abstract
The rain is pouring from a grey white sky all the way from the airport to the guesthouse. Ze didn’t realise that Olivedale is 35 kms from the city centre. When asking hir hostess Sherry-Lynne how to get to downtown Johannesburg without a car, she looks at hir with wide incredulous eyes and answers: “Don’t go to downtown Johannesburg!”
