Abstract

Károly Kerti (1917–1986) was my teacher of drawing and geometry—two separate subjects—in general school in Orosháza. Kerti was more an artist than a pedagogue. Teaching was a burden for him and children recognize this quickly. Kerti had an exhibition in our town and Mother bought one of his pieces, a still life with sunflowers. This was when I was not his student anymore.
