Abstract
With the rapid prototyping technology becoming more and more mature, the range of products produced by this technology are becoming wider and wider nowadays. In some specific occasions, higher standard is put forward for product performance, so it is difficult for uniform material parts to meet the demand, so the concept of “heterogeneous material parts” appears. At present, the research in the field of rapid prototyping technology for heterogeneous material parts is in its infancy. This paper will make relevant research on data processing technology of heterogeneous material model. Firstly, this paper introduces the background of rapid prototyping technology, the research achievements and research status of foreign and domestic scholars in heterogeneous material parts. Secondly, the data interpolation method of STL file is proposed to realize the data processing of heterogeneous material model. At last, the development of rapid prototyping technology is prospected at the end of this paper.
