Abstract
Earlier diagnosis of Turner syndrome (TS) allows for better health outcomes. Growth hormone therapy needs to be initiated at an age young enough to allow time for catch-up growth and to permit the induction of puberty at an age-appropriate time. Estrogen therapy is critical for pubertal development, including breast and uterine growth, and for adequate bone mass accrual during adolescence. Conversations regarding fertility and fertility preservation need to occur at developmentally age-appropriate stages in order to offer the most options. New studies in aortopathies may benefit women and others at risk for aortic dissection. Psychosocial and neurocognitive issues are best addressed when they first occur so that timely interventions can occur.
