Abstract
Each of the 16 NNCI facilities has its own leadership team. There is usually an investigator(s) who is responsible for interfacing with NNCI, a sponsor which is usually a university or facility at a university that provides the space and resources for the lab, and then the lab director(s) who runs the lab operations on a day-to-day basis. These people are your allies, and their mission is for you to have a successful experience at their facility, so get to know them! Below are interviews with two lab directors, Dr. Michael Khbeis at the University of Washington and Dr. Jiangdong “JD” Deng at Harvard University.
