Abstract
In the linear economy, climatic challenges will impact both water quantity and water quality with decreased availability of surface and groundwater resources significantly intensifying while extreme weather events will pose threats to water quality. At the same time, providing of water- and wastewater-related services requires a lot of energy, and often results in greenhouse gases emitted.
