Abstract

Proper timely maintenance of process units and instruments is important for safety, pollution control, product quality, meeting production targets. Everyday dependence on external agencies for maintenance is not desirable. It is advisable to carry out the cleaning of process units, repair to internal lining, work during annual overhauls in-house by experienced plant personnel since considerable careful handling of materials, instruments is required.
