Abstract

Plant engineers should consider availability of waste heat from hot process gases in the plant, availability of clean fuel at site, and select appropriate machines for power generation. Combination of turbines and boilers can also be considered. Choice of electrical generators shall depend on requirement of heating (by steam) and power at site; and external grid supply conditions at site.
