Abstract
Energy consumption can be reduced by modified methods. Some examples of such methods are given here (i) Process Intensification (combining plant operations in process units) which can also recover heat (ii) ensuring safe and efficient operations of refrigeration plants and cooling towers (iii) producing chilled water by unconventional cooling systems based on NaOH dilution or vapour absorption by LiBr solution. All these will be found useful for efficient working of the production plants.
