Abstract

A microstrip Balun is used to “balance” unbalanced systems. The application of microstrip baluns are mixers, amplifier, frequency multiplier, couplers and dipole antennas feeds. The advantages of microstrip baluns are low loss, uniplanar structure and low cost. The design of different microstrip balun has been analyzed for different frequency range from 0.9 to 5.5 GHz and various parameters have been analyzed.
