Abstract
Cone beam, weight bearing CT is a radiography which performs a revolution around the investigated object in order to capture its whole 3D volume. In comparison, conventional radiography is a single projection of the volume, thereby producing numerous biases such as superimposition and distortion of distances and angles. Conventional CT is a single beam rotating hundreds of times around the object. This new technology brings with it a wealth of possibilities but also of challenges which pertain to changing doctors’ knowledge and habits with 2D radiography. In the new 3D environment, our old tools do not apply.
