The most considerbale matching outcome ever was witnessed in 2018 that had increased the hopes of the matching dreams of an international applicant. The incoming international resident physicians usually come from diverse cultural backgrounds, which makes it imperative to get an insight into life in the USA initially. Herein, we discuss in detail the practice of medicine in the USA, being influenced by various elements of the culture of which language and religion are of a pivotal role. Also, we provide information about the essentials that rule the life of an individual like health insurance, accommodation, transportation, and food habits.
