Abstract

Why are some video content more viral than others are? This paper takes an exploratory approach to understanding the elements of viral videos in terms of digital marketing. Using a set of data about viral videos, case studies, and observations of viral videos, this paper provides insight on what elements should be present to achieve virility and replicate the results. To overcome a noisy market full of competitor messages, the elements in this paper will allow for a better-implemented video marketing campaign. Turning a video marketing campaign into a viral video marketing campaign needs extra effort from businesses in terms of innovation and creativity.
