Abstract
During my first few days at the University of Loughborough, once I had already been hired, a man approached me on campus and asked whether I was a Jew. With some reticence, I told him I was. The man also asked whether I was Professor Vladimir Babitsky. With a little less reticence, I told him I was. The man—also a professor, also a Jew—told me he had seen my picture in the university newspaper.
