Abstract
In this chapter, we’ll examine what the Agile mindset is—and isn’t—and explore some of the ramifications of misinterpreting the agile mindset. We’ll discuss whether Parallel Agile is “truly” Agile, and contrast it to another approach at scaling agility, the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). We’ll look at how scrum is intended to work, and cover a number of failure modes that can make your development team scream (see Appendix A for some satirical detail on Scream). Finally, we’ll wrap up the chapter by imagining what part of the CarmaCam project would have looked like if a large team had not been available and it had been developed with scrum rather than PA.
