Abstract
This work proposes a non-invasive ultrasonic device for stimulation of the pelvic floor in women suffering from urinary incontinence (UI), which is an extremely common pathology in older women.
The device is composed of an oscillator with a frequency range of 1 to 5 MHz, the time of application of the ultrasonic waves is determined by a frequency of 10 to 50 Hz. The pelvic floor is stimulated by the waves generated by the oscillator, together the frequencies have an energy of 15 mJ. The main contribution of this work is the development of a low cost, non-invasive device for the treatment of urinary incontinence.
