Infantile Hypertrophic Pyloric Stenosis

Abstract

Pyloric stenosis, also known as infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis occurs secondary to hypertrophy and hyperplasia of the muscular layers (circular and longitudinal) of the pylorus, causing gastric outlet obstruction. The clinical features, diagnosis and management are discussed.
