Intrauterine Device Removal

Abstract

IUD removal can be easily accomplished at the time of reinsertion or during a preventive visit. Following patient counseling, once the patient and provider have together formulated a decision to remove the device, retrieval of the apparatus can often be accomplished in a short office visit.
