Abstract

The final chapter includes a few, rather “illustrative” figures. With these, the effort put into creating themis potentially higher, and the epistemological value potentially lower than in the preceding chapters. After a table chart we visualise data of the “Better Life Index” and from GAPMINDER. Finally we show a variant on the “probably best statistical graphic of all times” (Edward Tufte), a map of Napoleon’s Russian campain in 1812/13, by Charles Joseph Minard from 1869.
