Abstract
These two volumes present a range of topics regarding the BRI, the global economy and international relations. The first volume analyses trade and economic development and the current paradigm shift which is apparent between the Washington and Beijing Consensus. Subsequently, the multiple projects of the BRI are assessed for their possible contribution towards economic development. The international organizations of trade and finance will also be discussed in relation to the BRI. The second volume will analyse the changing international financial system, the impact of the BRI on China’s domestic economy and the other participating countries. China’s rise in economic power together with the BRI is seen here within the context of changing global power relationships from the present unipolar towards a multipolar world order.
