Abstract

In this article the intermodal terminal designing method has been presented. The technologies of FlexiWaggon and CargoBeamer were put in the center of attention. Thanks to given assumptions the values of parameters in the proposed algorithm of the designing method have been calculated. Than the comparison of the results was possible. As a consequence it has been proved that modern RO-RO (Roll-on/Roll-off) technologies can be a reasonable alternative for traditional solutions such as road transport or LO-LO (Lift-on/Lift-off) technology.
