Analysis of Organizational Memory in the Context of School Administrators

Abstract

Organizations need various tools to achieve their goals. One of these tools is organizational memory. Organizational memory can be used effectively in the organization through administrators. Schools and school administrators also need to act in line with the approach mentioned in this context. This research study aimed to reveal the views of school administrators on organizational memory on the basis of the thoughts mentioned in the research. A qualitative research method and a phenomenological design were implemented in the research. Twelve school administrators participated in the study. A snowball and maximum sampling model with convenience sampling in a purposeful sampling method were used. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and investigations of the obtained documents. Triangulation, participant confirmation, expert review, and substantial identification strategies were carried out in the reliability–validity phase of the study. The findings and conclusions, discussions, and recommendations depending on these findings are provided in this research report.
