Abstract
In the paper selected phenomena related to lateral motion of a motor vehicle have been considered. The adopted maneuver, selected for the simulation in MSC Adams/Car environment, based on vehicle model realizing a turn with steering wheel release with the instant speed of 50 km/h. The most important issue is observing the phenomenon right after releasing the steering wheel. For the road with random inequalities, the same profiles were assumed for the left and right wheels of the vehicle, with two values of the coefficient determining the maximum height of irregularities assumed for the simulation purposes: 0,3 and 0,9. Thanks to this, the quality of the road surface could be considered as one of the potential factors disturbing the curvilinear movement of the motor vehicle.
