Abstract
COPD is a fatal disease leading to premature death and disability. Currently due to improved COPD exacerbations and comorbidities management, improved patient survival is observed. This results in increasing abundance of elderly COPD population. However, poorly assessed in research results, NIV treatment of elderly patients has different outcomes and risk factors. The chapter describes specificity of NIV treatment in elderly patients.
