Abstract
Since the twenty-first century, the world has continually experienced the trend of ‘globalisation’ which influences all activities of mankind. Higher education has inevitably been affected by these changes and is now confronted with the question of how to balance the polarities of internationalism and nationalism. This chapter shares the story and perspective of one provincial university in Thailand that has been eager to develop its institutional policy and curriculum to recognize our new global circumstances. It shares their attempt to help students to not only cope with an unfamiliar movement of internationalism but also keep their sense of nationalism. The hope is to create a harmonious higher education that can help human beings learn to remain themselves and live with others in this rapidly changing world.
