Abstract
This chapter will examine the translingual social media Englishes formed by EFL university students in Mongolia, whose linguistic practices are entangled with hip-hop oriented texts (e.g., rap lyrics, hip-hop artists’ names and titles, quotes from rappers, musicians’ interviews, parodies from music videos, etc.), and other African American Vernacular English (AAVE) resources.
