Abstract

Renal scintigraphy provides a unique tool for the noninvasive evaluation of renal pathophysiology. This chapter familiarizes the reader with the most frequently used nuclear medicine procedures for the evaluation of the common pathologic conditions in genitourinary system. These include studies for renovascular hypertension, urinary tract obstruction, urinary tract infection, renal transplant complications, vesicoureteral reflux, and testicular torsion.
