Abstract

Numerous studies worldwide have explicitly stated that play is fundamental for the harmonious development of human beings, not only in the developmental stage, but also in adulthood. Recreational activity performed as an end in itself is a source of pleasure, stimulates the desire to live, and also reacts to experiences of suffering, and at every stage of life it is essential to work out feelings of anger, aggression, and fear of the present or of the future. Part of this article explores the theme of video games as a preferential play experience in adolescence, considering their positive aspect of stimulating the emotional intelligence of creativity and the ability to process negative feelings and aggressive tensions.
