Notes

  1. 1.

Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a type of thrombocytopenic purpura defined as an isolated low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) with normal bone marrow and the absence of other causes of thrombocytopenia. It causes a characteristic purpuric rash and an increased tendency to bleed en.wikipedia.nl.

  2. 2.

Osteomyelitis is an inflammation of the bone marrow. The inflammation is usually caused by bacteria. These bacteria can reach the bone through an open bone fracture or through the bloodstream via an inflammation elsewhere in the body. The inflammation is usually in the long bones. The condition is more common in children than in adults. A bone marrow inflammation is a serious condition if the treatment is not started early enough, in which case the infection can spread further in the bone. An abscess (a cavity filled with pus) can then develop, which can turn into a chronic inflammation, and this is much more difficult to treat.

  3. 3.

Pleurisy, also known as pleuritis, is an inflammation of the membranes that surround the lungs and line the chest cavity (pleurae). This can result in a sharp chest pain when breathing. This pain may be a constant dull ache. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, cough, fever, or weight loss, depending on the underlying cause. en.wikipedia.org.

  4. 4.

Selma Ottilia Lovisa Lagerlöf (20 November 1858–16 March 1940) was a Swedish author and teacher. Shew was the first female writer to wind the Nobel Prize for Literature. en.wikipedia.org.

  5. 5.

However, many gifted children fail at school because they do not feel at home in a class. For example, homework is badly done or not at all, and the child hates school instinctively or avoids new learning activities for fear of failure.
