Abstract
Collecting large amount of data in patients operated on for colorectal liver metastases (CLM) is critical to address questions that cannot be solved by retrospective monocentric series. LiverMetSurvey is an international registry designed to collect data of patients undergoing resection for CLM on a large scale. Different aspects of the registry are discussed, including nomination of scientific committee, protection of data, participating centers, and sponsorship. Overall, the registry gave an overview of surgical practices and made it possible to evaluate onco-surgical strategies.
