Abstract
In this chapter, we focus on how Behavioral Operational Research may develop. We reflect on the contributions in the volume and what we can learn from them. We then ask three questions: (1) Is there a definition of BOR?, (2) Is BOR too speculative? and (3) Is there a difference between BOR and other disciplines that have been affected by the behavioral turn? We position the chapters in their contribution to developing answers to these issues. Finally, we posit what the future of Behavioral Operational Research should be, given the opportunities for developing new competences and capabilities.
