Abstract
In this chapter, Transaction-Level Power Modeling (TLPM) methodology is proposed for dynamic power estimation using TLM. The TLPM methodology is qualified to be easily implemented using industrial flows since it utilizes commercial tools. TLPM is performed in two stages: characterization and implementation. The characterization stage includes the extraction of power parameters of the input design. Then, implementation and simulation of power model are demonstrated.
