Abstract

When thinking on a vaginal rejuvenation procedure, many believe it will be enough with a posterior vaginoplasty or even with only a perineoplasty, but we must never forget no two surgical plans can be identical since every patient is unique. Once again, it is very important to remember that a good assessment is the key for a happy patient. This is why, in many cases, patients will need more than one procedure done to really have an increase in sexual gratification. Remember the most important reason to have a vaginal rejuvenation procedure is to increase sexual gratification on both the woman and her partner. When a vaginal rejuvenation procedure is planned to only narrow the vaginal entrance (perineoplasty) or the vaginal canal (vaginoplasty), increased friction will be felt by the male partner, but for the woman, it can end up being even painful; this is why it is so important to plan a good procedure so that the woman can contract harder her vagina walls during sexual intercourse and, by doing so, increase sexual gratification for both the man and the woman.
