Abstract
Here, we are afforded an insider glimpse into the cooptation of the media and how to counter what is happening by creating one’s own media. Robert walks us through the development of the world’s most popular critical psychiatry Internet site—Mad in America. Correspondingly, after a spirited back-and-forth between interviewee and interviewer, we receive the following gutsy acknowledgment from the figure who is arguably the world’s leading advocate of psychiatric reform, “Put this down to my own person opinion only, okay? Do I think psychiatry is reformable? No, not in a big picture way.”
