Abstract

Urologic care for people with progressive neurologic conditions can be challenging. These patients differ from neurogenic bladder patients with stable neurologic conditions since disease progression may require more regular urologic evaluations and changes to treatment plans. Frequently, barriers to urologic care for these patients include lack of knowledge regarding underlying disease pathophysiology, urologic testing strategies, and risk/benefit stratification for treatments. The purpose of this textbook is to address these knowledge gaps and improve urologic care for people with progressive neurologic conditions.
