Abstract
Evaluation of the MR images after brain surgery is challenging. Hemorrhage, postoperative enhancement, postoperative ischemic events, and surgical materials may all make the MRI evaluation difficult. In this chapter, postoperative brain MRI evaluation is discussed by a case-based approach. Appearances of expected postoperative changes such as dural enhancement and surgical materials are given. Examples of postoperative infections, infarctions, residual tumor, and tumor recurrence are also presented.
