Abstract

As with all surgical procedures, adverse events can and will occur. The surgeon should be vigilant to identify adverse events during and after the procedure. Those adverse events specific to the hiatal hernia repair are discussed in this chapter and will aid the surgeon to quickly identify and treat these potential problems. The authors provide practical handholds to avoid and treat both common and more rare adverse events in robotic assisted hiatal hernia surgery.
