Abstract
This chapter describes a novel approach to communicate and accelerate implementation of a stepped care approach to depression services in one region of England. The work was carried out in 2004 when guidelines for stepped care were first issued. It involved the development of a simulation model, combining the new guidelines with economic and resource allocation factors.
