Abstract

In this chapter you will learn how to write separate function files which can be used to group together a set of commands. One of the major advantages of MATLAB® is the vast number of built-in functions; nevertheless the MATLAB library of functions cannot cover every possible scenario. Anonymous functions fill some of these gaps; however, separate function files give greater flexibility and can be used in the same way as built-in functions.
