Abstract
Cryptosporidium parvum is a known cause of sclerosing cholangitis in CD40L hyper IgM syndrome. Diagnostic feature of intrahepatic biliary obstruction is highly suggestive of this condition
The combined primary immunodeficiency caused by CD40L mutations is fully corrected by stem cell transplant only
Treatment of Cryptosporidium infection is based on nitazoxanide and parmomycin for acute infection
Azithromycin could be preserved for long-term prophylaxis of Cryptosporidium infection
